LECTURE: Latin America Today Edges of Narrative: Sense and Paranoia by Gonzalo Soltero. Gonzalo Soltero will speak about how humans can only make sense of life through stories. This is what makes fiction so attractive, but at the same time it may allow us to choose persuasive narratives over facts. Soltero will contrast news from Mexico with recent novels by Mexican authors to see which one provides a more truthful perspective of life in this country.
